Welcome to Rockdale Gymnastics! A family run business that has been influencing the lives of families since 1983. Humble beginnings began with the friendship of Joe Ashley and Drew Davis, two members of the Lipscomb University Men’s Gymnastics Team, in 1981. After college, they both found themselves moving to Atlanta to work at a small after school gymnastics program. Joe’s parents, Fred and Miki noticed how well these two worked together and decided to buy them a building to start their own program as business partners. 40 years later, Rockdale Gymnastics has grown to host tens of thousands of kids for their birthday parties, summer camps, parents night outs, and have helped kids find their way in life through karate, dance, cheerleading and most importantly… Gymnastics! Our footprint that was purchased by the Ashleys grew from an old warehouse that had a gravel parking lot and ended at where our now beam area starts. Expanded first to the far side of the tumble track. Expanded again to the back floor area and karate room, and then again to build out the, once dance room, now crossfit area. With these expansions, the dreams of Joe and Drew included the pool, back slab area that was once a very popular skatepark, and the back field that is all still used today to ensure that the kids of today's generation still have an outlet to stay happy, healthy, and active.
